The 2014 FBA Finals was the championship series of the 2013–14 season of the Furry Basketball Association (FBA) and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. The series featured two teams that have never been in the title series before: the Western Conference champion Edmonton Totems and the Eastern Conference champion Tennessee Moonshiners. The Moonshiners had home-court advantage since the team finished the regular season with a better record than the Totems. Unlike the previous rounds of the playoffs, the Finals series were played in a 2-3-2 format (Games 1 and 2 at home for the higher seeded team, Games 3 and 4 and 5 at home for the lower seeded team, Games 6 and 7 at the higher). Game 1 was scheduled on Saturday July 12, while Game 5 which closed out the series was scheduled on Sunday July 20.

1-0

A close battle in the first half of the game was blown open in the second half off the wings of Jamie Velasquez (Seagull, G/F), the 2012 Most Improved Player leading her team with 24 points while also getting 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Her backup Annika Jung (Archaeopteryx, G) contributed 17 points to go with her 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The 2014 MVP Rocky Caracal (Lynx, G) led his team with 24 points as well, to go along with a rebound, an assist, and a steal. The game also featured Jeff Random (Pit Bull, G) hitting a buzzer-beating three-pointer to close out the first quarter.

2-0

Once again the game started off extremely close, but after Wallace Butler (Emperor Penguin, G/F) nailed a long deuce and followed it up with a windmill dunk, the energy seemed to all focus on the home team and their fans. 2014 MVP Rocky Caracal (Lynx, G) was ineffective all night, going cold for a long stretch between his two buckets in the first two quarters as the Moonshiners took a double-digit lead at the half and never looked back. The Tennessee bench proved to be the difference maker, with Holly Barker (Boxer Dog, G/F) coming out of reserves and putting up 12 points and 2 rebounds with an assist and a steal and a block.

3-0

As the series shifted north of the border, the hosting Totems were able to build a solid 7-point lead in the first quarter, punctuated by Scott Parsons (Otter, G) breaking the ankles of Aragon Fisher (Otter, G) on the last play of the first half. But the Moonshiners had already outscored Edmonton in the second quarter to trim the gap by two, and reduced the deficit to one by the end of the third. The Canadians seemed to run out of energy and focus in the final frame, missing shots and turning the ball over at crucial moments while Tennessee remained clutch, as Fisher would lead his team to their third victory of the series with 22 points and 7 assists to go with his 4 rebounds and a steal. Jarrod Frola (Cat, F), promoted to the starting line for this game, contributed 19 points and 3 rebounds along with a pair of assists and a pair of steals.

series
3-1

With their season on the line for the remainder of the series, the Totems fought hard to start off with the lead and maintain it throughout the rest of the game. The Moonshiners were only able to outscore their Canadian hosts in the third quarter, with Jamie Velasquez (Seagull, G/F) leading her team on the scoreboard with 16 points on the night to go with a pair of rebounds, assists, and steals. But it was the smart rotation by the Edmonton coaching staff to have the taller Scott Parsons (Otter, G) matching up against Velasquez defensively that slowed her production, allowing Rocky Caracal (Lynx, G) to open up his game against the shorter Aragon Fisher (Otter, G). While Chainlink led all players with 22 points on the night, Skeeter's double-double of 11 points and 10 assists helped his team stay alive in the Finals.

Tennessee
wins
series
4-1

Although they were denied the sweep, the Moonshiners didn't seem fazed at all when they took to the court for the final game in Edmonton. While both teams maintained their lineups from the previous match, Tennessee spread their offense around in the first half of the game to keep the hosting Canadians guessing, building a small lead after the first and extending it by halftime. The buzzer-beating heave by Sanford Teeson (Raccoon, G) to close out the second quarter got the crowd roaring as the home club shaved the double-digit deficit down to 8 points, but the visitors were able to squash their momentum and withstand their desperate efforts to come back, finishing the series with a 5 point win. Aragon Fisher (Otter, G) was awarded the Finals MVP with a 21 point and 10 assist double-double in this game, and an overall 18.4 ppg in the Finals. Rocky Caracal (Lynx, G) finished the game with 19 points and 3 rebounds and 2 assists, while Siegfried Romanoren (White Lion, C/F) got a double-double of his own with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
