Micah grew up in Newark, New Jersey where crime rates were at their highest. His father, Scott Davenport, is a detective for the Newark Police Department. His mother, Martha, is a librarian for the Newark Public Library. Micah kept himself isolated from society and shut the outside world by listening to his own music.

However, three friends changed his life. One afternoon, the kids came up to him and asked if he would play with them. The fox, a raccoon and a wolf, wanted him to join their scrimmage game. Micah declined but the fox insisted that he play with them. Micah finally accepted his invitation and played basketball with them. Since then, he loved fast paced game plays and thinking under pressure. His friends commented how good he was and how high he jumped to dunk the ball into the basket. From playing these games, Micah developed and treasured these friendships.

One night, the four of them discussed their biggest dream: to play in the FBA. Micah didn't have his future played out, but he wanted to join his friends' dream and play at the place where legends and stars are made. Not only that, his purpose in living changed. They played together in their elementary school and junior high years. They participated in their junior high's basketball tournament and won at their school's JV basketball championship.

However, in Micah's freshman year, a tragic event happened. Three gang members came up to him and his friends, leaving Micah helpless and beaten to a pulp. Just as the skunk was ready to shoot, his father arrived at the right moment and paralyzed the skunk's hand. Soon after, Micah was taken to his father's office. Scott interrogated the skunk, asking why he murdered three high school students in public.

The skunk confessed that it was due to a grudge against canines and some territorial issues. Micah was angry and held a grudge against mustelids, a few avians, and some wolverines. He took kickboxing classes to cope with the loss, building up his endurance to play the full 48 minutes on the court. Not only did he excel on th wood floor, he studiously finished school faster than most kids. He always kept basketball as his top priority.

He stayed with Theo Rockwell in California for a year transfer program. He established a connection with the hybrid. The border collie was on top of his studies and always scheduled time to practice his basketball techniques to keep his mind sharp.

He finished high school and moved back to New Jersey. He earned a number of scholarships for Connecticut Canid University. CCU wanted him to be on the basketball team. With Davenport's quick speed and dribbling skills, his team participated in the 2014 FCAA tournament and lost to Two Points.

After the tournament, he was told that he was a top-ten prospect. Micah was very pleased to hear that but he felt that he failed his team to carry out through the FCAA. Davenport earned the most awards during that year, even MVP. However, Micah didn't deserve them despite his stellar performance.

He returned to Newark and balled on the courts to vent off his frustrations. After pulling off shots, he was frustrated at his missed shots; thus experiencing a decline in his performance. His father came and talked to him regarding his problems. His father told him after Micah cooled his head. 'Kid, what ya doin' is admirable. However, don't focus on the past. Create a future for yourself. If ya put yer friends first, you'll be beating yourself over 't and never b' content wit yerself.'

He remembered those words, echoing in his mind. He went back to his house and channeled his anger into a punching bag. A couple hours passed, Micah talked with Theo about flying over to stay with him and not worry about losing.

Micah flew to Los Angeles and stayed with Theo. They had lengthy talks about their plans over a few scrimmages. After Theo asked him about what his plan for the future, Micah responded firmly, 'Not sure if I'd be putting mah name in the draft pool. Not sure I'm good enough.'

Theo provided helpful insight on the matter. You can't let self-doubt hinder your dreams. If you let it, you can't push yourself to become the best.'

Then, he remembered that night where he and his friends talked about their dreams. Now, they were dead and their dreams were on his shoulders now. With a strong sense of purpose and direction, nothing could hold back the border collie from proving his potential to everybody in the league.
