Ricky Beltran (rabbit) is an American professional basketball player who most recently played with the Tennessee Moonshiners of the Furry Basketball Association (FBA). Beltran is currently listed as a restricted free agent.

Biography

Ricky Beltran was a key member of the 2007 Lower Cal State Stingers championship team that included L.V. McDyess, Desmond Macon and big brother Donell Macon, as well as William Badd. The Associate had developed into a well-rounded player since then, with his most notable skill being his ability to attack the basket with great accuracy. His efforts had become much easier since putting on extra muscle in his last two years at college, and after applying to the 2010 FBA Draft he was picked up in the second round by the Idaho Mounties. However, he was traded shortly after draft night to the Bradford Bantams, and would then be traded back to the Mounties late in the season.

March 2014 Buyout

On March 13, 2014, Ricky was bought out of the contract offer he had signed with the Galveston Sand Dollars before their relocation and renaming to the Hawaii Kahunas. At the time, his contract was still worth $9.5 million. He immediately went into unrestricted free agency for the remainder of the 2013-2014 season, then dropped into restricted free agency for the 2014-2015 season.
