Seria Delgado is a Forward currently playing for the Albany Alphas.

Biography

Delgado attended the University of Chicago as a Visual Arts major, with no intention to join the college's basketball team. Rumor has it, U of C's coach saw potential in Seria when she was playing a pickup game of basketball with some friends who asked her to play "because they needed one more person to play." He asked her to try out the following season, and was quickly accepted into the team. As a walk-on, Sera played three consecutive seasons as the starting forward for U of C, the last two as team captain, a privilege only usually afforded to seniors. When she was asked to return for one more year, she declined, having gained interest from the FBA and a new brand new BA degree, she was looking to see what the FBA draft had in store for her before she made any more decisions about her future.

FBA Career

Delgado was picked up by the Typhoons after the 2010 draft as a rookie free agent. As the only female playing for the Typhoons at the time, her teammates quickly nicknamed her "Ladybug" in practice, although most teammates call her "Angel" because of her white fur and shock of platinum-blonde hair, which tends to shine like a halo under the stadium lights.

In April, 2011, Delgado was traded to the Albany Alphas, where she has taken a strong, supportive role in the club.

Delgado made local headlines in 2013 when she and a teammate at the time, Swingfur Holly Barker, announced their relationship publicly as a show of support for LBGT members of the FBA.
